Karryn MacDonald
Outreach Specialist
Karryn grew up in a rural Wyoming farming and hunting community, where 4‑H projects, fishing competitions, and time outdoors shaped her love for the land and its people. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Wyoming and now calls Laramie home.
Except for a 2.5-year stint in Washington, D.C., Karryn has spent her life living, working, and serving communities across Wyoming. Her love for Wyoming State Parks - beyond Curt Gowdy - began during college road trips with friends, exploring the state’s landscapes and hidden gems. Throughout her career, she has combined her professional expertise with her personal connection to Wyoming’s land, culture, and communities to support the state’s outdoor spaces and people.
