Jamie Hansen
OUTDOOR RECREATION SPECIALIST
Born and raised in Laramie, Wyoming, Jamie has spent an extensive amount of time in Wyoming's wild places. She grew up camping and snowmobiling, riding horses, and showing livestock for 4-H and FFA. Hansen graduated from the University
of Wyoming in 2020 with a B.S. in Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Management. During her time at UW, Hansen developed a love for backpacking and cross-country skiing. She began her work in the guiding industry in the summer of 2019 as a glacier guide in southeastern Alaska.
After graduation, Hansen worked for a guest ranch and outfitter outside of Jackson, Wyoming for 5 seasons. She ran horse pack trips, and worked at the hunting camp as a camp jack, wrangler, and packer. Jamie has had the opportunity to explore much of Wyoming, some of her favorite places being in the Gros Ventres, Absaroka, and Wind River mountain ranges. She now calls Pinedale home.
Hansen recently joined the Outdoor Recreation Office as an OREC specialist. In her free time, Jamie performs as a singer-songwriter.
