Linda Fittje
Outdoor Recreation Specialist
Linda was born and raised in northwestern Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and moved to Casper 9 days later. She has spent most of her professional career educating children in the Casper area.
Linda and her family love spending time together outdoors. They spend most of their free time hiking, fishing, hunting, boating, engaging in winter sports, and adventuring on backcountry roads on their ATVs. They have backpacked the Winds, climbed Hunter Peak in the Beartooths, hiked and camped in the Snowies, boated Flaming Gorge, and enjoyed many areas and activities in between. Linda recently started archery hunting for elk and is hooked. If you have a few minutes (hours), you can ask her about her favorite hunting stories.
Linda has worked for the Wyoming Office of Outdoor Recreation since 2021, first as a Pathfinder and now as an Outdoor Recreation Specialist. For 18 years, Linda and her family organized and held a youth fishing derby in memory of their oldest son, Hunter. To continue that tradition, she works to engage youth in outdoor recreation opportunities.
